In the Beginning…

Sacred Surrender

I’ve lived a life full of contradictions.

I was raised in a Christian home but I didn’t always feel close to God.
I’ve been the “good girl” and the rebel.
The heart breaker and the heartbroken.
I’ve been praised, judged, sexualized, silenced, forgiven, and redeemed.
I tried to keep it all compartmentalized.

Sacred Surrender, is where I bring all the pieces together. It’s the space I wish I had when I was younger when I was searching for love, trying to untangle shame from desire, wondering if there was anyone who saw the full me… and didn’t flinch.

This is for the men and women who have been cheated on, made mistakes and are aching to feel clean and whole again. It’s for those who have been judged by the Church but chased by God.

Your mistakes don’t define you.
Your story doesn’t disqualify you.
Your desire to be deeply loved is not something to be ashamed of;
It’s something God put in you.

Through Sacred Surrender, I’ll be sharing parts of my journey from being bullied in a Christian school to heartbreak, sexual exploration, motherhood, marriage, and finding the redemptive love of Jesus again. It won’t always be pretty, but it will be honest; and it will be rooted in grace.

I don’t write this as someone who has it all figured out. I’m not your pastor either.

I’m your sister.
and I’m here to walk with you.
